Strategic Account Director - Ad Sales

Rockyou.com is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Strategic Account Director to join our Ad Sales team.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in online and/or traditional media sales. We're looking for an energetic self-starter with a consultative sales approach who is pro-active in driving revenue and increasing the client base. You must be results driven, have strong analytical skills and be committed to creating new business opportunities. The Media Sales Professional is expected to understand and be able to articulate the overall business objectives of RockYou and its value proposition to the advertising community in local markets (NY and LA).

Responsibilities

Engage and strategize with senior level executives at client companies to demonstrate how Rockyou.com can drive revenue to their business.
Develop and cultivate deep relationships with client senior executives at SVP, VP levels.
Identify and understand trends within client markets and industries.
Hit target revenue quota.
Engage in direct prospecting and lead generation activities; negotiate and close deals.
Pitch new business to advertising agencies and direct clients
Draft proposals and assist in the creation of sales materials

Qualifications

5+ years of Media Sales experience (2+ years of Online experience preferred)
Relationships with top marketing decision makers at national Fortune 1000 companies and Top agencies
Proven track record of success driving revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships
Demonstrated track record of structuring and managing complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery
Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market
Understand how internet advertising technology works and the ability to explain in ordinary terms
Previous start-up experience a strong plus
BA/BS strongly preferred.
